Raja Aur Krishna Ki Bansuri is a upcoming bollywood Mythical Thriller film. The film directed by bollywood one of the best director Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra. It is his dream project.
The film is going to be an action romance-drama affair. The film set in the 1920s centred on a hunt for Krishna's flute. It will be made simultaneously in English and Hindi. The Hindi version will be called Raja Aur Krishna Ki Bansuri.
Actress Sonam Kapoor will be star of this film, she is going to again work with Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra after 'Delhi – 6' and “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag'. Films male lead actor will decided soon.
Sonam Kapoor has managed to catch attention all this while with her Fashionista charms. But with Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Raanjhanaa, the actress is getting noticed for her work in films as well. Her latest director, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra seems to be mighty impressed with this actress.
With the success of ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, Sonam Kapoor has bagged herself a role in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s next, which is supposedly a mythological thriller.
Currently, the ‘Delhi 6’ director is planning two projects - 'Mirza Sahiban' and ‘Raja Aur Krishna Ki Bansuri', but it is still unclear as to which one Sonam would be a part of.
Talking about the forthcoming project, Sonam said "I am going to work with him in another film but that's not the film ('Mirza Sahiban') I am working on."
While even the maker of the film, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has denied casting Sonam in ‘Mirza Sahiban’, there hasn’t been official confirmation about her role in the other film as well.
We hear that the ‘Raja Aur Krishna Ki Bansuri’ is a 1920 based thriller, involving the hunt for Krishna’s flute. The project looks like a bilingual one, to be shot in both English and Hindi.
Sonam has already worked with Rakeysh in ‘Delhi 6’ and now, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’. A source from inside the team tells us “Sonam has always been proud of her previous project with the director. She came to be known as the Masakali girl after the film. When Mehra approached her for the Milkha Singh biopic, she refused to charge him anything. Instead the amount of R 11 was like a shagun.”
Looks like this actress has a lot of faith in her director. While we are going to scout around and find more information about the Sonam-Rakeysh’s ‘Project No.3’, we are already dreaming about the kind of fashion statement Sonam is going to dole out in the mythological thriller.
Imagine her in heavy ethnic jewellery and fine clothing from the Mughal times or the 1920’s? Gorgeous already!
While the sprinter-flick 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' performing colourfully at the box office, the filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra seems to be in a jaunty mood. He is known for not to rushing into any project, but this time, the ace filmmaker is already gearing up for his next venture.
Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra will soon be coming up with a mythological thriller, titled as 'Raja and the Legend of the Flute'. A close source mentioned that Mehra has this project in his mind since many years. Earlier, this movie was titled as 'Paanch Kaurav', but modified the title now and the film will revolve around the search of Krishna's flute, said the source. The film will showcase larger-than-life setup, the source added.
The movie will be executed in English as well as Hindi language. The Hindi version of the film will be titled as 'Raja Aur Krishna Ki Bansuri'. British Raj India of 1920's will comprise the backdrop for this romantic action-drama flick, the source revealed. Mehra preferred to keep the other details about the film under wrap.

Bhaag Milkha director gears up for mythological thriller.
With Bhaag Milkha Bhaag doing reasonably well at the box office, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is in a buoyant mood and the director, who generally doesn't rush into a project, is gearing up for his next. However, it is not Mirza Sahiban, as was reported earlier, but Raja and the Legend of the Flute.
"This is a film that Mehra had in mind for years. It is his dream project. He wanted to make it even before he started with Bhaag Milkha. The film was earlier titled Paanch Kaurav. It is a mythical thriller centred on a hunt for Krishna's flute and has an expensive larger-than-life set up," said a source.
When contacted, Mehra confirmed the story and said: "Yes, I am working on the film. It will be made simultaneously in English and Hindi. The Hindi version will be called Raja Aur Krishna Ki Bansuri.
The film will be set in the 1920s' India under the British Raj. It is going to be an actionromance-drama affair, and in that order."
About his other ambitious project Mirza Sahiban, of which he had previously spoken to Mirror (dated April 18, 2013), he explained: "That is going to be my first foray into pure romance. It will have a contemporary setup. Gulzar bhai is writing the script and once it is ready, I will take it up."
Asked which film is scheduled to go on floors first, he said: "There are a lot of variables to consider when you make a film. I am equally excited about both the films. I will start working on whichever shapes up well first." About the cast, Mehra said it was too early and refused to reveal any details.
Bollywood fashion icon Sonam Kapoor is likely to rope in with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra again in a new venture which is said to be a mythological thriller. Earlier it was rumoured that Sonam might do Mehra’s Mirza Sahiban, but it is not so as Mehra is working on another flick Raja Aur Krishna Ki Bansuri and Sonam will not be a part of this project.
“I am going to work with him in another film but that’s not the film (Mirza Sahiban) I am working on,” Sonam said. The film set in the 1920s is a mythical thriller centered on a hunt for Krishna’s flute. It will be made simultaneously in English and Hindi. The Hindi version will be called Raja Aur Krishna Ki Bansuri.
