Hasee Toh Phasee (2013) Full Movie Summary:
Hasee Toh Phasee is rom-com movie, starring Siddharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra. The film to be co-produced by Dharma Productions and Phantom Films. The movie will be directed by debutant director, Vinil Mathew.
Produced under the banners of the Dharma as well as Phantom Productions, Hasee Toh Phasee is an upcoming Hindi film which does not only feature romance, but also genuine comedy. The movie is being directed under the guidance of Vinil Mathew, and is produced by film maker Karan Johar, in association with Phantom Production, a relatively new production house owned by four renowned film makers, namely Vikas Bahl, Anurag Kashyap, Mandhu Mantena and Vikramditya Motwani. Anurag Kashyap, recently awarded the best director award, said he was very excited about the upcoming project, and said that the movie required the involvement of new faces, hence justifying the choice of Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeta in the film.
The Hasee Toh Phasee movie trailer is a comedy, and gives a brief idea of the film. The viewers have responded well to Hasee Toh Phasee 2013 trailer, says a spokesperson for Dharma Productions. In addition, the Hasee Toh Phasee trailer also features Adah Sharma, reportedly playing the role of the lead’s actress’s younger sister in the movie.
Talking about the film and his role, an excited Siddharth said "It isn't an over-the-top role. And unlike my previous film Student Of The Year, where I played a student, I play my age and am shown as a middle-class working man." And when asked about Parineeti, he said, "She has lot of spunk, energy and there is a good give-and-take with her". Meanwhile, Parineeti, who is working with Siddharth for the first time, said that he is a superb co-star who never gets worked up. And on her role, she said, "My character is quite a difficult one. I deliberately choose roles that make me nervous. I do a lot of homework and until I get it right, I don't give up".
Talking about the film's director Vinil Mathew (a veteran ad filmmaker), Siddharth said "It didn't feel like the first day of shoot because he is so sorted and knows exactly what he wants. He made us rehearse a lot during a two month workshop before shooting began".
