Main Tera Hero movie is a remake of a telugu blockbuster, Kandireega. The Hindi remake rights of the film are sold to Ekta Kapoor of Balaji Motion Pictures for Rs.2 crores which will be starring Varun Dhawan in lead, to be directed by his father David Dhawan. It's a romantic comedy movie.
Nargis Fakhri who made her debut opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Imtiaz Ali's film Rockstar had not signed any film for months, until now. The actress recently shot for John Abraham starrer Madras Cafe and has recently also been signed for Akshay Kumar starrer Shaukeen remake. And now, the news is that the gorgeous model-turned-actress has been roped in for David Dhawan's film Main Tera Hero. The film stars Varun Dhawan in lead role.
Confirming the news, sources close to the film say, "Yes, Nargis has been signed on for the film. In fact she has a very important role in the film. However, more details of her role are currently unavailable."
Earlier, Ileana D'Cruz was signed as one of the actresses for the film, while the makers were on the lookout for another actress. Main Tera Hero which has been locked for release in April 2014 is scheduled to go on floor this June.
This debutant made a mark with Dharma Productions' Student of the Year in which he played the role of a college heartthrob and a rockstar. And now taking a leap into the action genre is newbie Varun Dhawan who will be seen in his father David Dhawan's upcoming action comedy Main Tera Hero.
While Varun has been doing quite a few stunts for the film, here is a glimpse of the actor performing an aerial act for a song in the film as he balances himself on a harness.
In this age of body doubles, Varun insisted on doing the stunt himself. He was hanging from the tenth floor of a building in Bangalore for a sequence which was choreographed by Bosco-Caesar.
Main Tera Hero is the remake of the Telugu movie Kandireega and is directed by David Dhawan and produced by Ekta Kapoor. The movie stars Ileana D'Cruz and Nargis Fakhri and is slated to release on April 4, 2014.
Being a committed actor and dedicated son, B-town's young heartthrob Varun Dhawan is working really hard on his second film 'Main Tera Hero', being helmed by his father-filmmaker David Dhawan.
Recently, Varun shot a song for the upcoming project, for which he had to perform a stunt. And unfortunately going with hazards of the acting profession, the actor had to suffer minor back injury.
Here we have a pic from the sets of the film where Varun is seen hanging from the tenth floor of a building in Bangalore; shooting for a song sequence. So it is while performing this aerial sequence Varun injured his back as he had to balance himself horizontally on the building. But our sources revealed that after taking a break for a few hours the 'Student Of The Year' handsome got back into action and completed the sequence within time.
