British horror comedy ‘Cute Little Buggers’, written by Garry Charles and Andy Davie, and directed by Tony Jopia, is currently filming. We have the first images from the forthcoming creature feature inside for you.

From the director of ‘Deadtime’ and ‘Crying Wolf’ comes comedy horror ‘Cute Little Buggers’, a b-movie style creature feature, described as ‘Gremlins’ meets ‘Hot Fuzz’ set in the English countryside. When hostile aliens crash land on local farmland the villagers at the summer ball get suspicious when young women start going missing. The villagers soon band together around the film’s hero Melchoir to fend off the invaders and bring back peace to the sleepy English countryside. ‘Cute Little Buggers’ promises plenty of laughs and a B-movie experience.

The appearance of the “Buggers” (for a lack of more specific characterization available at this point) although remains the secret of the makers for now. We also have no information at this time whether it makes any difference whether they feed after midnight or get in contact with water or any other liquids.

Tony Jopia (Deadtime, Crying Wolf) is readying the ’80s inspired grisly British comic-horror flick Cute Little Buggers 3D starring Caroline Monroe, Joe Egan, Kristofer Dayne, Gary Martin, John R. Walker, Dani Thompson, Jess Jantschek, Samar Sarila, Jo Price, Sarah Bennett and Leslie Grantham.

The flick, described as Gremlins meets Hot Fuzz set in the English countryside, is set for release in June 2014.
