Ada is a young girl who lives with her backwoods hillbilly moonshinin'
clan. A close knit community, they all share a rather arcane religion.
Every so often, The Potter makes a ceramic jug adorned by a face. Every
face that appears on the jug is a member of the clan and any face that
appears must be sacrificed for the good of the community. Sacrificed to
The Pit, which lies in the woods. Because The Pit wants what it wants
and The Pit must be sated as this is how it's always been. If The Pit
doesn't get what it wants then whatever dwells within it gets angry.
And when The Pit gets angry, the community will be punished.

One day, while exploring The Potter's shed, Ada finds the latest jug
face. It's her own…

Will she allow herself to be sacrificed, for the good of the clan? or
will she set in motion a plan to spare her own life?

Jug Face is a straightforward but pleasantly offbeat horror that puts
an interesting and unusual spin on the hillbilly horror/hicksploitation
sub genre, with a nice turn by Larry Fessenden as the clan leader and a
surprisingly great turn from Sean Young as the overbearing matriarch.

Executively produced by Lucky Mckee and with FX by Robert Kurtzman,
it's a satisfying and solid horror that's well worth checking out
overall, for fans looking for something just a little bit different.

British horror comedy ‘Cute Little Buggers’, written by Garry Charles and Andy Davie, and directed by Tony Jopia, is currently filming. We have the first images from the forthcoming creature feature inside for you.

From the director of ‘Deadtime’ and ‘Crying Wolf’ comes comedy horror ‘Cute Little Buggers’, a b-movie style creature feature, described as ‘Gremlins’ meets ‘Hot Fuzz’ set in the English countryside. When hostile aliens crash land on local farmland the villagers at the summer ball get suspicious when young women start going missing. The villagers soon band together around the film’s hero Melchoir to fend off the invaders and bring back peace to the sleepy English countryside. ‘Cute Little Buggers’ promises plenty of laughs and a B-movie experience.

The appearance of the “Buggers” (for a lack of more specific characterization available at this point) although remains the secret of the makers for now. We also have no information at this time whether it makes any difference whether they feed after midnight or get in contact with water or any other liquids.

Tony Jopia (Deadtime, Crying Wolf) is readying the ’80s inspired grisly British comic-horror flick Cute Little Buggers 3D starring Caroline Monroe, Joe Egan, Kristofer Dayne, Gary Martin, John R. Walker, Dani Thompson, Jess Jantschek, Samar Sarila, Jo Price, Sarah Bennett and Leslie Grantham.

The flick, described as Gremlins meets Hot Fuzz set in the English countryside, is set for release in June 2014.

REC 4: Apocalypse (stylized as [REC]⁴ Apocalypse) is an upcoming 2014 Spanish horror film, and the fourth and final installment of the REC series.[1] The film will be a direct sequel to the second film taking place immediately after its events.[2] Jaume Balagueró, the director of the first two installments, is set to return alongside the actress Manuela Velasco, who will reprise her role of Ángela Vidal.[3] The film is set to premiere on October 10, 2014.

Production

On 3 May 2010, Bloody Disgusting announced that "...Filmax will produce two new [REC] films in the next couple of years called [REC] 3: Genesis and [REC] 4: Apocalypse with the same directors as the first two films."[5] Genesis was released on March 30, 2012.

In an interview to Fangoria, Jaume Balagueró stated that the film won't have an apocalyptic style presumed by its title, saying that "all of the movies in the [REC] series have the same budget, so you’re not really going to see big scenes of Barcelona full of zombies; they’re just not intended that way. There has to be a story that’s controlled and strong". Apocalypse is set to follow the events of the second film, and will not be made in the "found-footage" style. Production was scheduled to begin in 2013. At the 2012 Sitges Film Festival, it was announced the film would have its world premiere there in October 2013. An announcement trailer was released in late November, confirming the return of Manuela Velasco.

 However on early May 2013, Balagueró, in an interview, stated that the film's production had been delayed and the film would now premiere sometime in mid-2014, but did confirm that Manuela Velasco would in fact be starring in the fourth film. Teaser posters and updated premise were released early May. Filming began on July 13, 2013 in Gran Canaria,[6] aboard a Russian merchant navy ship.
