Mumbai: Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Riteish Deshmukh will be seen playing triple roles in filmmaker Sajid Khan's next 'Humshakals'.

The Fox Star Studios and Pooja Entertainment's film will be produced by Vashu Bhagnani.

This will be yet another comedy film from Saif following the success of his home production 'Go Goa Gone' where he played a gun-toting zombie killer.

Saif and Riteish will be joined by TV actor Ram Kapoor, who is also playing a triple role in the comedy riot.

The film is slated to go on floors in September and will be shot extensively abroad at never before seen locations.

'Humshakals' is expected to have a worldwide release on June 6, 2014.

New Delhi, June 25: Actors Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Ram Kapoor will take on triple roles in comedy entertainer "Humshakals", which will go on floors in September and will hit the screens June 6, 2014.

The Pooja Entertainment & Films Ltd. and Fox Star Studios' project will be helmed by Sajid Khan, who has earlier directed comedies like "Heyy Babyy", "Housefull" and "Housefull 2: The Dirty Dozen".

"The film promises to be a laugh riot, as the trio unleash total madness and confusion in their triple avatars," said a statement.

It will be shot extensively abroad.

Shunning the remake culture, producer Vashu Bhagnani is moving ahead with a fresh story in his new venture 'Humshakal' and says that the Saif Ali Khan-Riteish Deshmukh starrer will go on the floors in August.

His last co-production 'Himmatwala' was a remake, which failed to enthuse the box office.

Confirming the details about 'Humshakal', Bhagnani told IANS: "I am making 'Humshakal'. It's a fresh film and not a remake. The film will be directed by Sajid Khan and it will have Saif and Riteish in the lead. The film will go on the floors by August."

A new name has been added to the star cast of Sajid Khan’s much talked film ‘Humshakals’. However, this new name is Sonal Chauhan who is known for her role in ‘Jannat’.

Looking at Sonal’s career graph, bagging a role with Saif Ali Khan is nothing less than an achievement for her, as she too believes, “I would like to second that. Yes, Saif is a great guy and a very good actor and I am his fan too.” The actress started her career under the Bhatt banner opposite Emraan Hashmi and even though as a newbie she did create a lot of buzz, with time all that faded off and her career hit a slump. Later in 2011, after a long hiatus, she was offered a role with Amitabh Bachchan in ‘Budha Hoga Tera Baap’ but this too didn’t give her career the much-needed boost as the story revolved around Amitabh only. This year she was seen in a thriller film ‘3G’ along with Neil Nitin Mukesh who was rumoured to be her boyfriend that time but post the release of the film, the movie as well as the relationship tanked.
For many of us, the memory of Sajid Khan’s spectacularly underwhelming Himmatwala remake is still fresh—it has only been three months since it released—but the filmmaker himself appears to have moved on, with few scratches to show for it.

Earlier this week, Fox Star Studios announced a joint production with Vashu Bhagnani’s Pooja Films on what they have declared will be ‘the biggest comedy entertainer of 2014′. The film, to be directed by Sajid Khan and titled Humshakals, will star Saif Ali Khan, Ritesh Deshmukh and TV heavyweight (pun unintended) Ram Kapoor, each in triple roles.

Reportedly, this is the same Angoor remake that Sajid has been working on for some months now, and over which he also clashed with Rohit Shetty some months ago. The Chennai Express director had apparently acquired the official remake rights to Angoor and was in no mood to let Sajid make his own ‘unofficial’ version.
After the flop show of his last movie “Himmatwala”, Sajid Khan has decided to take every step very carefully. He wants to take no risk as far as his movies are concerned. Sajid has decided to direct his next flick, Humshakal with Saif Ali Khan in it. This would be the first time that Saif Ali Khan would be working with Sajid. The movie Humshakal will be a comedy movie. Sajid Khan has an expertise in directing mindless comedy movie. Sajid earlier projects like Housefull series has always been comedy.

Saif Ritesh and Ram in HumshakalReportedly, In Humshakal Saif Ali Khan would be seen romancing with three charming ladies of Bollywood. The three heroins cast against Saif Ali Khan would be Himmatwala’s lead actress Tammanah, Raaz 3 fame Esha Gupta and Sonal Chauhan who earlier worked in Jannat. Jacqueline Fernandez was also a choice for the lead actress in Humshakal but after her break up with the director, Sajid Khan she was rejected. As the title of the movie suggest, Saif Ali Khan would be seen in many roles. Saif Ali Khan would be seen in a triple role in Humshakal. Triple roles in Bollywood are rarely seen. Most of the actors are seen playing double role.

Besides Saif Ali Khan, Ritesh Deshmukh is the lead of the movie Humshakal too. Ritesh was last seen in the movie. Ritesh now a day is judging a dance reality show on small screen. From small screen, a popular daily soap actor Ram Kapoor is also in the movie. Ram Kapoor has earlier worked for the big screen in the movie Mere Dad Ki Maruti. The movie did an average business on Box Office.

The shooting of Humshakal will start from September of this year and hopefully the movie Humshakal would be released in theaters in early 2014.

Let’s see if Humshakal will do some wonders on Box Office or it will crash like Sajid Khan’s previous movie Himmatwala.
